The Avenue of Flags (AOF) is a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit, powered entirely by community support and donations. Every aspect of the display—from planning and logistics to raising and lowering flags - is carried out by dedicated individuals who generously give their time. Community members play a vital role in locating buried flagpole sleeves, setting up and taking down flags, and spreading the word about this meaningful tribute. New volunteers are always welcome—their involvement is not only appreciated, but essential to keeping this powerful tradition alive and ensuring the flags are displayed with care.
